The super talented Anne Marie has a great CAS (Clean And Simple) challenge for us this week at the Paper Players:
I decided to really focus on the CAS aspect of this challenge, because I often struggle with this. And struggle I did — I have several versions of this very simple card in my trash can. Either I didn’t line the two layers up properly, or I stamped the sentiment crooked, or I got a random smear of ink on the white card stock, or somehow otherwise messed it up. I was quite frustrated with this little card by the time I finished. Guess I need more practice with CAS, huh!?
I hope you can join us in this challenge. Meanwhile, you can check out the other designers’ creations here:
Enjoy your Sunday! Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Delicate Doilies, Regarding Dahlias (sentiment)
Ink: Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Basic Black
Paper: Whisper White
Embellishments: Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Large Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Amy this is gorgeous! It sounds like it was a pain, but it turned out great!
This is a great card. I really like your design and colors. The sentiment says just enough!
An absolutely stunning CAS card! I LOVE the rhinestones!
Simply beautiful!
Love this layout, and the placement of the rhinestones is perfection. Very beautiful card, Amy!
your card is stunning as usual !
We would never know you struggled, this card is effortlessly beautiful! Perfectly placed doilies and olive how one trails off the edge…fantastic!
LOL, don’t you hate it when the simplest things take the longest?! Grrrr! I love this, though….your end result was well worth it. LOVE the “hi”!!!!
Gorgeous CAS and not so simple card?! I can sit there for long periods of time with the simplest card! It was worth the effort! 🙂
Clean and simple blingy perfection! Sorry to hear about your frustrations, I know all about how that feels. The end result is fabulous, though!
Love this gorgeous card! Just perfect.
Amy, CAS stresses me out too! I had a chuckle about the little smear of ink, because that drives me bananas, too. Your card came out beautifully! I love the raised layer and the big, bold sentiment! Perfect! 🙂
