Happy Independence Day Birthday!

I have always loved the 4th of July!  We usually have a big family get-together at my grandmother’s house with lots of yummy food and fun games outside, and then sit in the backyard and watch fireworks that night.  Plus, it’s my dad’s birthday, so we have another reason to celebrate.  I always thought it would be so cool to have a birthday on the fourth because you’d always get to celebrate with fireworks.

Independence Day Birthday

I just got the Simply Stars stamp set and I thought it would be perfect for a manly Independence Day  birthday card for my dad.  If you still have the star punches that SU used to sell, you’ll be happy to know that they work with this stamp set.

Enjoy your Thursday, and for those of us in the U.S. I hope you have a fun day with friends and family celebrating the many freedoms we enjoy in this country.   May we always be thankful and not take them for granted.  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. What a Fabulous card, I love it, truly love it! It is also our niece’s 18th birthday today and we will soon be watching her take her first “sky dive jump,” Wow!!! She’ll start her day off with a BANG, won’t she?!!! Have a wonderful 4th of July and best wishes to your dad on his bday too! Cheers!

  2. Just found your blog through pinterest. Love this July 4th card you posted. My birthday is also on the 4th so I too love this day. Next year I have a big numbered birthday to celebrate so planning to come across The Pond to spend it with my brother & his family in New Jersey to join in the celebrations & see the amazing fireworks. Look forward to looking at some more lovely cards. Glad you had a good day x
