One Year Anniversary and Blog Candy

Today marks the one year anniversary of this blog.  I  don’t know why it took me so long to start one, but it’s hard to believe a whole year has gone by.  One of the reasons I drug my feet a little was that I thought no one would come visit my blog.  There are so many talented stampers out there that have been blogging for a long time and I didn’t think anybody really needed one more.  Well, boy have I been surprised!

Since I’m a numbers person (I was a CPA before kids), I thought I’d share some numbers with you:

325 posts
278,00 views
626 blog subscribers

What I can’t count are the number of supportive, encouraging, and kind comments I’ve received over the past year.  I have truly been amazed and honored to receive all of them.

I thought that a first anniversary deserves some blog candy, don’t you?  If you are a U.S. resident, please leave a comment at the end of this post and I’ll randomly select a winner to post on Saturday.  You must comment on THIS post, and it must be left by Saturday, August 3rd at 6 p.m. CST to be eligible to win.  Here is what will be included in the blog candy:

First Anniversary Blog CandyThe blog candy includes two rolls of Gingham Garden washi tape, a packet of Bakers’ Twine, Hung Up Cute Clips, a packet of Rhinestone Basic Jewels, and a Print Poetry dsp stack.   Come back on Sunday to see if you’ve won.  The winner will need to send me her/his address so I can mail the blog candy.

Well, if you’re still with me, I do have another Gorgeous Grunge card to share today.  As I mentioned yesterday, I’ll be featuring this stamp set all week.

Gorgeous Grunge Display 4I added a strip of Island Indigo card stock, which was embossed with the chevron embossing folder to the side.  I embossed the sentiment from Sweet Essentials with Pewter Stampin’ Emboss powder, and added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to a couple of Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons.

I’ll be back tomorrow with another Gorgeous Grunge project.  Enjoy your Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Hi Amy! Congrats on the one year anniversary. I love how a numbers person thinks; it’s so pure. I am an English major in a sea of numbers people in my family and friends! How that happened is a mystery to me, but maybe that left brain/right brain means something after all. I love your grunge card. Did we ever think that “sloppy” stamps could ever turn out such nice cards? Keep up the good work and blog! I appreciate all your efforts. English majors and artsy people can turn out some nice cards too! Maybe you can count how many numbers stampers there are compared to non-numbers stampers…interesting study! Nancy B

  11. Congratulations on your blog! I’m a subscriber of yours for a month or two now (I think your cards caught my eye on pinterest originally) and I love that your post comes right in my e-mail folder! Everyday! Your cards are so beautiful and professionally done and I love your color combinations, they inspire me to be more adventorous combining more colors within one card! I’ve been a demonstrator since last November so I still consider myself a beginner but your cards inspire me. I’m planning on CASE-ing a few for my bi-monthly club if you don’t mind, hopefully they inspire my friends too! Nice of you to offer a blog candy:)
