End of Gorgeous Grunge Week

Today is my last day of Gorgeous Grunge week.  I have one more project from my work on the convention display boards to share with you.  It’s actually a 3-d item, which started out as an unfinished wood frame, and it contains a picture of my youngest.

Gorgeous Grunge Display 3dI started by applying three coats of gesso to the wood with a paintbrush.  I then mixed several drops of Pool Party re-inker and rubbing alcohol in a Stampin’ Spritzer, and spritzed the frame until it was the shade of blue I liked.  After that was dry, I stamped the Gorgeous Grunge stamps directly on the frame.   Here’s a closer look at the stamping:

Well, I hope you all have enjoyed the Gorgeous Grunge week.  It’s definitely not my normal style of stamping — I’m a Clean and Simple girl at heart.  However, I do think it’s fun to mix it up every once and a while, and I do think the two styles can be used together.

Enjoy your Saturday!  Come back tomorrow, and I’ll be starting another theme week.  This one will feature the Lovely Romance stamp set and the Venetian Romance suite of products.  Thanks for stopping by!
