Hello, Friend

I was able to spend about an hour in my stamp room yesterday, and was able to get reacquainted with some of my new supplies and make a couple of cards.  It felt so good to get inky again!  I really wanted to stamp longer, but my hubby and I had errands to run — things like restocking the empty refrigerator since we’d been gone the past week.  Life does get in the way sometimes!

The colors in the Retro Fresh dsp pack were calling my name, so I made both of my cards with it.  This card also uses elements from the Peachy Keen stamp set.  Love this set!  I also used some of the fun Essentials Wooden Elements and new washi tape.

Just a Little Note

Square Love NoteHere’s a little 3″x 3″ love note for you today.  I sneak little notes like this into my kids’ lunches occasionally.  I don’t do it enough though.  My youngest one asked me to put one in her lunch before Christmas break, so I knew I needed to make some more so I’ll be ready once she goes back to school.  I think this new stamp set in the Spring Catalog, Perfect Pennants, will make some great notes for my kids.  And this set has some other great elements, like the star and stripes.

We’ve been out of town visiting family for the past few days, and while I love getting to do that, it’s so good to be back home.  I haven’t stamped in about a week and a half, so I am hoping to get to sneak into my craft room today and see if I have any creative juices left.

Enjoy your Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!

One Last Christmas Card

I have one last Christmas card for you today.  It’s another card I made using the Season of Style Designer Journaling Tags.

Deck the HallsI hope you have a wonderful Christmas, and that you are able to spend it with those you love.    I’ll be back after Christmas with some more sneak peeks from the upcoming Spring catalog.

Merry Christmas!  Thanks for stopping by!

Let’s Be Jolly

Jolly Present

Now that we’re down to just three days before Christmas, it’s all about simplicity in my life. And this card certainly qualifies for the simple category.  I used one of the Season of Style Designer Journaling Tags for this card and added a pretty Cherry Cobbler bow.  It really doesn’t get much easier than this.  I sat down with this packet and whipped out twenty tags and three cards in about one hour yesterday.  I love products like this that are so cute and make my life easy.

Enjoy your Sunday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Starburst Sayings Sneak Peek

Oh Happy DayHere’s another sneak peek for you featuring a fun new stamp set called Starburst Sayings. There are even coordinating starburst shaped framelits in several sizes.  Love them!  I also included a sheet of dsp from the new Fresh Prints dsp stack.  All of these new products will be available on January 3rd.

Enjoy your Thursday!  I need to get busy with wrapping Christmas presents today! Thanks for stopping by!

A Holly Jolly Christmas — FMS 117

Oh, my!  We’re getting close to Christmas!  Just one week away!  And I get to be the hostess this week over at Freshly Made Sketches.  Here’s the sketch:

This sketch has lots of “white” space, and gives you the chance to use up some of those pretty paper scraps you’ve been hoarding.  I made another Christmas card with the sketch, and kept it very clean and simple with a couple of extra details — some stitching, glitter and gold foil paper, and a button.

Corner BannersI hope you can take a little break from your Christmas shopping, baking, wrapping, etc…and make a card using the sketch.  I’d love to see what you make!  Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the rest of the design team made.  I already took a peek, and they have all done an outstanding job!

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Peachy Keen Sneak Peeks — Monday Montage #9

Monday Montage Banner -- OctoberIt’s time for another Monday Montage blog hop.  There are ten of us participating in the hop, and you can make your way through all ten posts by clicking on the arrows at the bottom of each post.

I have a box of new goodies that will be coming out in the new Spring catalog and during Sale-a-Bration, and I have been itching to ink them up.  I picked one set, Peachy Keen, for this post and I made two cards to share with you.

Peachy KeenThere is a coordinating set of framelits that goes with this stamp set, and I’ve used it here.  Not only does the framelit cut out this cute polaroid frame, but it also embosses it at the same time.  Pretty cool, huh?  There are some other sneak peeks here too — notice the sequins and gold baker’s twine?

Photo Strip HelloOn this next card, I’ve used the same stamp set and framelits set.  There are a couple of other sneak peeks — wooden embellishments and gold foil vellum paper as well.  I’ve also used another new framelits set, Banners Framelits, which cuts layered banners for you.

I’ll have to admit it was nice to take a little break from making Christmas projects.  However, I need to get back to that!  I’m running out of time!

You’re ready to hop along to see the gorgeous treats that Breelin Renwick has prepared for you.  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can click on the back arrow and visit the super talented Wendy Weixler.  Either way, you can work your way through all ten stops.

Snowflakes with Doilies and Glitter

Glittery Snowflake

I haven’t really played around with the new Gold and Silver Stampin’ Glitter very much this season, so I decided to use it on these snowflakes.    It’s two days later, and I think I still have glitter on me.  I really love the look of glitter, but I have to admit I reach for the glimmer paper when I can over the Stampin’ Glitter.

I’m going to take my girls to see “Frozen” at the movies today, and then I have to get some serious work done on our family Christmas cards.  Why, oh why, do I put this off every year?

Enjoy your Saturday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Christmas — FabFri33

Here we are with our last Fab Friday challenge of the year.  And we have a fun sketch challenge for you.

I decided to try to make a Christmas card with a vintage feel to it.  I love that look, but find it hard to make.  I pulled out my dusty Layered Labels set and stamped the beautiful bottom layer with the Gold Encore ink and went from there.

Vintage Christmas 2I hope you’ll go by the Fab Friday site and see what the other designers did with the sketch.  And then I hope you can find some time to play along with us and add your card to the gallery.

Enjoy your Friday!  Thanks for stopping by!
