Gold Hearts

I think I have just about finished my Valentine’s cards.  Before I get too excited about getting something done ahead of time, I still have 25 Valentines to prepare with my 3rd grade daughter (we don’t buy store-bought Valentines in this house).  And my 7th grade daughter wants me to prepare her Valentine birthday party invitations and thank you notes (yes, I have a Valentine’s baby).  So there’s still a lot of Valentine’s Day stuff to do.

Tiny Love HeartsI thought I’d try something a little different for me and set the top vellum layer at an angle.  I embossed the pretty Pool Party heart with gold embossing powder and cut out the “love” thinlit with Red Glimmer Paper.  A simple card, but I think the gold adds such an elegant touch.

Enjoy your Sunday!  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Ohh, I LOVE your card, it is sooo pretty! I loved reading about how special your Valentine’s Day (and baby) are, too!!!! Love the vellum on an angle also; pretty! I’m sending love and happy wishes your way! 🙂

  2. So pretty Amy! The gold embossing on the pool party is really fantastic! Can I ask, is the vellum held together underneath the pool party heart only?

I have a 2nd and 4th grader needing Valentine’s made as well and haven’t even thought about a design. lol. Good luck with your to do list!
