I think I have just about finished my Valentine’s cards. Before I get too excited about getting something done ahead of time, I still have 25 Valentines to prepare with my 3rd grade daughter (we don’t buy store-bought Valentines in this house). And my 7th grade daughter wants me to prepare her Valentine birthday party invitations and thank you notes (yes, I have a Valentine’s baby). So there’s still a lot of Valentine’s Day stuff to do.
I thought I’d try something a little different for me and set the top vellum layer at an angle. I embossed the pretty Pool Party heart with gold embossing powder and cut out the “love” thinlit with Red Glimmer Paper. A simple card, but I think the gold adds such an elegant touch.
Enjoy your Sunday! Thanks for stopping by!

Oh Amy…this card is SOOO beautiful! I love the little gold hearts on the vellum!! And the pool party with the red looks awesome together!!
Ohh, I LOVE your card, it is sooo pretty! I loved reading about how special your Valentine’s Day (and baby) are, too!!!! Love the vellum on an angle also; pretty! I’m sending love and happy wishes your way! 🙂
So pretty Amy! The gold embossing on the pool party is really fantastic! Can I ask, is the vellum held together underneath the pool party heart only?
I have a 2nd and 4th grader needing Valentine’s made as well and haven’t even thought about a design. lol. Good luck with your to do list!
Thanks, Kelly! The little gold hearts on the vellum hide glue dots perfectly. I just adhered a few of them behind the gold hearts.
