Stenciled, Textured Dots

Don’t ask how long this card took me to make.  I’d be too embarrassed to tell you.  Let’s just say there is more than one version in the trash can right now.  It’s not that I was doing anything hard, it’s just that I kept changing my mind about what I wanted to do.  But I finally finished, and I hope tomorrow is a better stamping day.

Stenciled Dots

I hadn’t played with my jar of fiber paste in a while, so I thought it was time to pull it out.  I scooped some out and dropped a couple of drops of Smoky Slate re-inker in and mixed it up.  I then laid my polka-dot stencil down (from the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit which was in the Holiday catalog last Fall) and spread some of the colored fiber paste over the stencil.

After that dried, I took an aquapainter and dipped it in a couple of drops of Pool Party re-inker.   I then tapped my aquapainter over the card and let some drops splatter on the card base.

Here’s a closer view of the cool texture that the fiber paste adds.

  1. How much fun that textured paste must be!!!! I’m going to have to try finding some myself. The teenagers in my family would love some element like that.
