Here we go again! Another Monday Montage Blog Hop for you. There are ten of us participating, so just follow the links at the bottom of each post to work your way through all ten posts.
I got a box of new Stampin Up! goodies last week and finally had a chance to sit down and play with the new stuff last night. It’s always a bit overwhelming to look at a pile of new products and know where to start. So I decided to start with the stamp set that was at the top of my wish list — Flower Patch. And to make this set even better, there are coordinating framelits!
I pulled out a sheet of dsp from the All Abloom dsp stack, and used Strawberry Slush, Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight ink for the flowers. The leaves use Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive.
I stamped off onto scratch paper first to get the lighter base shades on a couple of the flowers. Cutting everything out with framelits is such a time saver. On this first card, I kept the flowers pretty simple — basically just one layer.
While I had all of the ink pads and other supplies out, I decided to make one more card with the same color scheme and add more layers on the flowers.
I added a couple of colors on this one — Blackberry Bliss and Crisp Cantaloupe. I used some of the new Pumpkin Pie 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon on both of these cards– love it!
This is such a fun set because the layering opportunities are endless! I think the one layer flowers are just as gorgeous as the multi-layered ones.
Well, you’re ready to continue along the hop trail. You can venture onward to the always inspiring Breelin Renwick’s blog by clicking the “Next” button below, or you can work your way backwards and go visit the ever creative Wendy Weixler’s blog by clicking on the “Back” button.
