It’s time for another sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches. And this week the super talented Jennifer Timko is our hostess. Here is what she has for us:
This sketch had me stumped for a while. In fact, this is my third card with this sketch. The other two ended up in the wastebasket. But it’s good to have a challenge once in a while.
I immediately thought of using a doily for the semi-circle, but had no clue what to do with the rest of the card. I have barely used my Butterfly Basics stamp set, so I decided to get it out and play with it.
I stamped the fern with Calypso Coral ink and embossed the sentiment with Pool Party embossing powder. I added a little washi tape and a strip of dsp.
The design team didn’t appear to have any difficulties with this sketch, so you should go by the Freshly Made Sketches site and see what they’ve made this week. And then we hope you’ll make your own card and share it in the gallery with us. We love to see what you make!
Have a great Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
These colors are fabulous on the Kraft background! Love the blue embossed sentiment, red leaves and bright banners! Beautiful!
Gorgeous! I love the surprise colors that you used for the ferns! Just delightful!
Perfect take on the sketch! I love your doubled up doily and the fern images make a beautiful background!
As always, your use of color is spot on! The Pool Party embossing looks so fresh and bright. And I love the double doily – so clever.
