It’s time for another sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our super talented friend from New Zealand, Karren Johnson, is our hostess. And she has a beautiful collage-style sketch for us:
One of my very favorite sets in the Holiday Catalog is Snow Place. But since snow has been nowhere near a possibility here, I haven’t even inked it up. Snow is still nowhere near a possibility here as today is supposed to be in the 70s, but I have seen on the news that some other parts of the country have already seen some. Yikes!
I love all of the little accessories that come with this stamp set. I chose to use the cute Santa hat and bow tie for this particular little guy.
The large snowflake in the circle is from the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set. I used Pool Party ink with it.
I also used a little Dazzling Diamonds glitter as I find it difficult to not use it on a snow-themed card.
We hope you’ll join us and make your own card using the sketch. We love to see your creativity at work. Meanwhile, you can hop on over to the Freshly Made Sketches site and see what the design team made for some inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!

What a great take on the sketch…he is quite a handsome fellow! Love it!
Adorable, Amy! I love all the details, the snowflake, the hat & tie on the penguin, the dazzling diamonds…all are just perfect!
This little guy is adorable! Love the big snowflake behind him and all the extra sparkle! Cute card!
Oh that bow tie on your penguin is just the cutest thing and the Dazzling Diamonds is the perfect touch. Love this card, Amy!
Oh my gosh, Amy! This is just the cutest little card! I love the snowflake in the circle and the perfect embellishments. The penguin just couldn’t be any cuter. I know how you feel about the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on wintery cards! My sentiments, exactly.
This card is so fabulous Amy! I love that little penguin! He is just too cute! I totally love the red accents along with the glitter! So pretty!
Believe me snow is no fun. You are better off with your 70-degree weather and keeping your penguins and snowflakes to the front of your cards! And this one is pretty awesome by the way!
Yep – I totally love this card and this little guy (I think I need him now!)
Such a sweet card!
What an adorable little guy! Love him in the sketch! 🙂
Oh so cute, Amy! I love the sparkly snow!
So, so sweet, Amy! Love all the sparkle!
