It’s time for another sketch challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches! And this week our talented Australian queen of fabulous layers and beautiful cards, Narelle Farrugia, has a great sketch for us:
I pulled out my Going Global stamp set and Perfectly Artistic dsp (hurry! This paper is only available for two more weeks). I stamped one of the images on the dsp and added some splatters.
I inked the image using my Stampin’ Write Markers, added a scrap strip of Going Places dsp and a little ribbon. I cut out the Love banner and popped it up with a dimensional.
We hope you’ll join us and make your own card using the sketch! You can venture over to the Freshly Made Sketches site for a big dose of creative inspiration from the design team.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!

Love all your details!
Beautiful done! I love the subtle image stamped on the background and yep the banner is so cute!
Love how you have layered your sentiment banner. That paper, the thread….such a pretty combination!
What a perfectly under-stated card, lots of subtle detail, which I love.
Ooh that patterned paper is gorgeous! And the splatters are the perfect touch. All-round fabulous card!
I love the subtle image behind the focal layer. That’s a great look – especially with the splatters! And the focal layer itself is a great combo of color and layers. Love this!
Oh this is absolutely fabulous Amy! Wonderful colours and perfect sentiment/image combo! LOVE it!
Oh Amy this card is so lovely! Love that sentiment and the layered banner! Such a fun background too! Love it!
Great card! Love the splatters, which I have been struggling with. How do you do them and what color did you use? Or is a stamp? Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks! The big splatters are made using a Timeless Textures stamp. The smaller splatters are made with the retired color spritzer tool, which I love and wish Stampin’ Up had never retired. It’s one retired product I can’t give up. All of the splatters were made using black ink.
Your love banner gives a fun pop of red. Cute Card!
Amy, this is such an awesome card. You are so talented and I always love seeing what you come up with each week. The ribbon and button are such a fabulous detail!
