Topiary Trio — Annual Catalog International Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us today for our International Stampin’ Up!® Blog hop.  When Kylie Bertucci contacted me asking if I’d like to participate in a hop showcasing items from the new annual catalog, I said “Absolutely!”  There are so many new sets I love, and it’s fun to get to share them with you.

You may be just starting here or have come from Inge Groot’s blog.  Either way you can make your way around the world by using the list below so that you don’t miss any projects.  We have an incredible group of talented Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who wanted to highlight our brand new annual catalog products.  At the moment, you are currently in the USA and you are about to go around the world to different locations.

One stamp set that caught my eye in the new catalog is the Vertical Greetings stamp set.  Every once in a while, I wish I had a greeting that is vertically oriented and this set has six such greetings.  And as a bonus, it has three super cute topiaries.

Topiaries GroupDid you know that Stampin’ Up! sells note cards and envelopes?  I made a little set of note cards using this set with three greetings which I often need for the mail.  They are 3-1/2″ x 5″, and come with coordinating envelopes.

Topiaries Happy BirthdayI used a color scheme of Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Perfect Plum.  I wanted the pots to look like terra cotta pots, and the Cajun Craze works well for this.

Topiaries Just BecauseI used a ruler to draw the outlines with a Perfect Plum Stampin’ Write Marker.  I wanted a little overlap at the corners for interest.  Plus it’s easier to not have to worry about getting everything lined up exactly right.

Topiaries Thank YouI tied little bows with Linen Thread and attached them with glue dots to add a little dimension and texture.

The little bits of earth under the pots were made with a stamp from the Touches of Texture stamp set, which I stamped with Crumb Cake ink.

You’re ready to hop on over to the blog of the next person on the list, Mercedes Weber. She is an amazing stamper and you will love what she has in store.  I always do!  Make sure you work your way through the whole list — you won’t want to miss a single post.
