It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time for another sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches site. And this week our favorite pilot, Jennifer Timko, is our hostess. Take a look at what she has for us:
It’s fun to have a card with a different orientation! I am so used to using a portrait orientation rather than landscape.
My daughter is leaving for a mission trip to Africa today. She has been excited about this for months, and the day has finally arrived. She has a 33 hour travel day in front of her before she arrives in Zambia (and then more travel time via bus to get to her destination). Her group will be serving at an orphanage/school there, and she’ll be gone for a little less than two weeks. I can’t wait to see her pictures and hear all about her trip when she returns!
I wanted to include some little notes for her to find in her suitcase when she is there, so I had that in mind when making her card today. She loves this sweet fox image from the Foxy Friends stamp set, so I decided to use it.
I used ovals from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, and the coordinating Fox Builder Punch for the sweet little girl. The sentiment is from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set and I used the Classic Label Punch to punch it out.
I think it will be a long two weeks for me while she’s gone! But I know it will be a great experience for her, and I love to see her excitement to step out in faith and serve the Lord by being a servant to others.
We hope you’ll find time to play along with our challenge this week and make your own card using the sketch. It’s fun for us to see your creativity in action! Meanwhile, be sure to skip on over to the Freshly Made Sketches site and see what the design team made for a big dose of inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!

hi, Thank you for sharing all these wonderful ideas! As a new S.U. demo I really appreciate it. I will be praying for your daughter on her mission trip. As a team member and team leader of more than 20 trips around the world, I greatly understand the need for prayer. If you communicate with your daughter, please let her know that i will be praying. Also, knowing how hard it is as a parent to let your kids go so far away, I will be praying for you. Blessings, jan
This is adorable…..and then some! Love that sweet fox! Wishing your daughter safe travels……I know you won’t rest easy until she is home under your roof! Quite an adventure!

So adorable!!! The fox is cutie and chevron on the background fits perfectly to this scene.
This is the most adorable card! I love how you “popped” the fox’s head. What a difference that makes!
Ah, your fox is so stinkin’ cute!
He’s wonderful! Love his little tipped head and the way his color pops against the background you have selected.
