Joyful Christmas — FMS256

We have another sketch for you over at the Freshly Made Sketches site today, and this week our super talented pilot friend, Jennifer Timko, is our hostess.  Take a look at the great sketch she has for us:

fms-final-256-001I thought this sketch was perfect to showcase a beautiful, large sentiment.  There are two that I love in the Wonderful Year stamp set, so I chose to use one of those for this card.  I kept this card very simple and very true to the awesome sketch.

I used my Real Red, Garden Green, and Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Markers to ink up the stamp.  Some sprigs of greenery were added by using one of the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies.

The base layer is a sheet of Candy Cane Lane dsp.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Gorgeous card and you’re so right – this sketch is perfect for a large sentiment. I’ll have to store that idea away for another day 🙂

  2. I agree, you have used the perfect sentiment for the banner (think I might have to add this one to my next order). I love the addition of the sprigs (I just got those and now can’t wait to use them – you’ve totally inspired me!)

  3. This is so beautiful, clean and fresh! I love its simplicity and yet it has so much to see! I really love the way you chose to ink up the stamp.

  4. This is the kind of card I wanted to make when I created this sketch. The sentiment is so perfect and I love all your pretty details.
