Here we are with our last sketch for 2016 at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our resident Massachusettsan (yes — that’s really a word — I looked it up), Jen Mitchell, is our hostess with the Christmas spirit. Her gift — a fabulous sketch that is versatile enough to be used for any season or occasion.
While I had my Hello December 2016 Project Life collection out, I made another quick card (or 2 or 3). I kinda felt like this was cheating for a sketch challenge because there is no actual stamping on this card, but time is at a premium this week, so anything quick and easy is good.
I added a piece of dsp from the Warmth & Cheer dsp stack and a bit of baker’s twine and silver metallic thread, as well as some staples.
I love making square cards, but never think to do them. I’m so glad Jen made one for this sketch.
Quick and easy, like this post. 🙂
We hope you’ll join us and make your own card using the sketch and post it to the gallery. You have until January 2 to get it in, as we’re taking a little break for the holidays. We love to see what you create! Meanwhile, be sure to venture over to the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!

Very cute! I like quick and easy, especially using these PL cards! Merry Christmas!
You and I were on the same page this week! I used my kit to make a batch of cards too! Simple and oh so sweet!
Well hello from Massachusetts! I actually had no idea Massachusettsan was even a word but now that I’ve learned it I will see it five times over the next few days, I’m sure! Fabulous Christmas card. I love that the green layer is a little skewed plus those little staples are so cute. Merry Christmas Amy!
What a great card Amy! I love the red and green and totally love that sentiment! So pretty! Have a very Merry Christmas and enjoy some time with your family!
Fabulous card, Amy and no cheating involved! The little touch of the staples is such a fun look!
Super Pretty, Amy! LOVE the twine and the metallic thread as well as you perfect stamping!
Like I told Karren, if you ain’t cheating, you ain’t trying. This is totally fabulous and a great use of of the PL cards. Happy New Year!
