It’s time for another new sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches site! And this week, our favorite stamper from the land down under, Narelle Farrugia, is our hostess. Take a look at this classic sketch that she has for us:
I needed to make a birthday card for a friend and I was drawn to the classic images in the Birthday Memories suite. There are so many cute images in the dsp that are perfect for focal images on cards. And one of the fabulous things about the coordinating framelits is that they work with some of the dsp images as well as the stamps. Love that!
I started by using a piece of the Birthday Memories dsp and adding some strips of Lemon Lime Twist card stock that had been punched using the Ticket Tear Border punch. I then cut out the birthday cake image (totally forgetting that there is a framelit for it — doh!) It was placed on a Stitched Shapes Framelits die.
I added some strips of ribbon for embellishments and used a Paper Pumpkin sentiment. Easy Peasy!
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you create. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
