It’s time for another new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week it is my turn to be the hostess. I decided to change things up a little bit (at least for me) and make a sketch for a square card. I love square cards but don’t normally think to make them. I also wanted to make the sentiment the focal point of the card, which opens up lots of possibilities.
I pulled a stamp set off the shelf that I hadn’t used in a while, Super Duper. I am always in need of birthday cards, and this one has a large sentiment that I thought would be perfect for the sketch.
I used my Stampin’ Write markers to color the sentiment, using Melon Mambo, Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, and So Saffron for the color combination. The Ticket Tear Border Punch provided a decorative edge on the bottom of the sentiment panel, and some Glitter Enamel Dots and Gold Metallic Thread were added as embellishments.
I hope you’ll make your own card using the sketch and post it in the gallery. We love to see what you create! Meanwhile, be sure to hop on over to the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration. They always inspire me!
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
