It’s time for another new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our talented French friend, Cecile Ribon, is our hostess. She has a fun sketch for us. Take a look:
This sketch had me stumped for a while. I decided to start by finding some dsp to use, and reached for a pretty sheet from the Tea Room Specialty dsp pack. Once I got it cut out I decided to let it be the star of the show because it is so pretty.
I almost had a monochromatic card, but when it was time to add the sentiment I felt like I needed another color to make it pop. And once I went down that road, my chances for making a monochromatic card went out the window. Maybe one day…
We hope you’ll join us and make your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you create. Meanwhile be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Happy Independence Day to all of my American friends! Thanks for stopping by!

It is a beautiful paper! Love the pop of Coral with it!
This is so beautiful and totally worth sacrificing a monochromatic look for! That patterned paper is gorgeous!
Such a pretty card Amy! I love that DSP and those pretty little flowers! The corner stamps look perfect!
Oh how lovely that DSP is! I initially thought it was background stamping as I hadn’t seen that DSP before (I’d have to be the worst demo ever not knowing what’s in the cattle….!). Your card is just gorgeous!
Wow! Amy! you’ve created such a pretty and romantic card! This lovely tiny bouquet makes an amazing effect over the beautiful DSP.
This is really pretty, Amy!! So many lovely details that make it really special.
Great choice to use that DSP for the angled layer – it’s a gorgeous pattern. And I love that you used a couple of complementary colors for the floral images. What a beauty!
