Monster Bash Care Package — Monday Montage #150

Welcome to another Monday Montage blog hop!  We are a group of stampers who love to share what we create with you, and all you have to do to follow along is click on the links at the bottom of each post.

I’ve been collecting Halloween and Fall themed items to put into care packages for my two college kiddos.  Of course, most of the items in the boxes are food items (if you can call candy “food”).  I used the Monster Bash suite of products to decorate the boxes and some of the contents.

My daughter loves some taffy that a local candy shop carries, so I bought some pieces for her and put some of the Monster Bash dsp on a box to decorate it.  The ribbon is some retired ribbon.  I made the tag from some Pumpkin Pie card stock and cut out the picture from one of the Monster Bash dsp sheets.

I also made some little 3″ x 3″ cards to put in the boxes.  I’m not sure why my camera changed the color of the card, as it is exactly the same as the sheet of dsp on which the projects are sitting.  I included some some square tubes that I had on hand but can’t remember where I got them and filled them with peanut M&Ms.  Both the card and tag were made using the Spooktacular Bash stamp set and coordinating Ornate Frames dies.

I used a couple of Monster Bash dsp sheets to decorate the inside of the box as well, where I put some soft, warm socks, decorations for her door and room, some of her favorite Halloween candy, and some pictures of them when they were little in their Halloween costumes.

What items do you put in care packages?  I used to put homemade goodies in them, like cookies, but they never seem to stay fresh enough by the time they get them.  I think that just getting a package is fun for these students, and they’re not particular about what is actually in them.

You’re ready to hop on over to Breelin Renwick’s blog.  I always love seeing what she makes!  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can jump back to Wendy Weixler’s blog.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing.

  1. I love the presentation and the mix of what you included–both reflect you and the relationship you have with your daughter :). This would make a fun gift for anyone. Thanks for the inspo!
