Lily Pad Pond — FMS418

It’s time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our hostess is the very talented Jacquie Southas, who has a fun sketch for us.  Take a look:

This sketch was extra challenging for me as I realized I don’t have a die to cut that large of an oval or a circle as in the sketch.  So I had to get creative.  Hopefully, if you look really hard (or maybe don’t look too closely), you can see that I tried to sponge on some color to roughly create the curve in the sketch.

This stamp set is called Lovely Lily Pad, and is one of the Sale-a-Bration offerings, which you can acquire for free with any $50 purchase until March 31.

I started the card by sponging on some Pool Party ink.  The lily pads and flowers were cut out with my paper snips, but you can also acquire the dies that would cut them out as another Sale-a-Bration offerering.  They are free with a $100 purchase.

I added a sentiment from the Label Me Bold stamp set.  The sequins are another Sale-a-Bration offering.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch!  We love seeing what you make as we browse the gallery each week.  Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Hullo Amy,

I totally CAN see your oval shading, and I think these sweet lily pads are ovals too, which creates such interest and draws the eye around. Lovely colors you chose!
