Positive Thoughts for a Sympathy Card — Monday Montage #157

Welcome to another Monday Montage blog hop!  We are a group of stampers who love to share what we create with you, and all you have to do to follow along is click on the links at the bottom of each post.

I needed to make a sympathy card for a friend and the new Positive Thoughts stamp set seemed like a perfect set.  And on Feb. 4th, Stampin’ Up! will release some coordinating dies for this set.

I started out by die-cutting a piece of Whisper White card stock with one of these new dies.  It is a rectangle with some pretty piercings around the border.  I then stamped some of the foliage with Pear Pizzazz ink.  I stamped the flowers with Rococo Rose ink, which was stamped off one time, and cut them out with another coordinating die.  The Mossy Meadow leaves were cut with other coordinating dies, as was the little bit of So Saffron trim underneath the sentiment.  And you guessed it — the butterfly was cut out with another coordinating die in the set.  I definitely made good use of a lot of the dies on this card!

The sentiment is from the Colorful Seasons stamp set.  I added some Faceted Dots and some Metallic Baker’s Twine, which is a Sale-a-Bration offering, as embellishments.

You’re ready to hop on over to Breelin Renwick’s blog.  I always love seeing what she makes!  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can jump back to Wendy Weixler’s blog.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing.
