In the midst of all the craziness in the world right now, I’m glad to have some things remain the same. And one thing that is consistent right now is a new sketch on Wednesdays at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our sketch comes to us all the way from Australia, where our resident Artisan award-winning crafter, Narelle Farrugia, has a clean and simple sketch for us. Take a look:
Needing to restock the birthday cards supply, I pulled out the Happy Birthday to You stamp set, which is a Sale-a-Bration offering. I love that it also has a coordinating die set, Birthday Dies. Since Spring is just about here, I pulled out some soft pastel colors.
I tend to shy away from purples, but for some reason I’ve been drawn to them lately. In fact, this is the second card in a row that I’ve made using them. I colored the cake and flowers with markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. The pretty yellow scalloped border is from the Flourish dies. The dsp is from the Best Dressed dsp collection
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you create as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!

So sweet!! I love the softness of the lavender sprinkles and the yellow pearls!
Oh wow Amy! This card is so beautiful! I just love that cake! Those flowers are so pretty and I also love the little die cuts peeking out behind the banner!
I LOVE your colour choices here Amy (actually I do every time you create!). I also love this image and it’s perfect for the sketch!
