It’s time for another new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our hostess is our favorite Coloradan, Kim Singdahlsen. She has a good sketch for us. Take a look:
This one threw me for a loop with those stripes. I decided to use some ribbon for some of them and card stock for others. I’m not entirely sure you can see the sketch with my card, but it really was my starting point. 🙂
I wanted to use the Positive Thoughts stamp set and coordinating dies for my card, and I needed to make a birthday card for a sweet friend, so I started by stamping several flowers and leaves. I die-cut some of the stems from vellum card stock as well. Once I had all of that done, I splattered some Petal Pink ink on the card base, and arranged the Metallic-Edge Ribbon and a die-cut piece of trim to represent the sketch’s stripes. I then arranged the flowers and greenery.
The sentiment was stamped and embossed with gold embossing powder. I added some champagne rhinestones as embellishments.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
