It’s time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our favorite Bay Stater and clean stamper extraordinaire, Jen Mitchell, is our hostess. Take a look at this fun square sketch:
I hadn’t made a square card in a while, so I was glad that Jen drew a square sketch. I wanted to play with the cute houses in the Coming Home stamp set, so that was my starting point.
The focal circle was made with a little ink blending and was cut out with a Stitched Shapes circle. I then stamped the tree , chimney smoke, and light pole directly on the circle. The two houses and wreath were stamped and colored with alcohol markers and cut out with the coordinating dies. I layered the two houses to make one house with a little more dimension.
The sentiment was cut from a piece of dsp from the Trimming the Town collection. That is also where the background paper with the trees is from.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week! Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration!
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
