Snow Front Sympathy — FMS466

We’re getting close to Christmas and the end of the year, and we have one last 2020 sketch for you at Freshly Made Sketches. Our hostess this week is our talented friend who flies the friendly skies, Jennifer Timko. Take a look at this classic sketch that she has for us:

This has been a rough week. My 94 year-old grandmother died of Covid-19 complications last week and an aunt passed away after her two year battle with ALS. I needed to make some cards and wanted them to have a wintery feel, so I pulled the Snow Front stamp set from my shelf, which I hadn’t used in quite a while.

I started this one by applying some Seaside Spray ink onto a piece of Whisper White card stock with a blender brush. I then stamped the different tree images using Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz inks, sometimes stamping off and sometimes not to add a little variation in the color. A piece of Seaside Spray card stock was run through the Big Shot with the Subtle 3d embossing folder.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own cards using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery. We’re leaving this challenge open until January 4th, so that gives you extra time during this busy season and will provide you an opportunity to use any new crafting supplies that may be in your Christmas stocking. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has whipped up for your viewing pleasure.

Enjoy your Wednesday and have a wonderful Christmas! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. So very sorry to hear about your losses Amy. It seems like it has been a hard season for so many. This card is so beautiful. I just love those trees. The wintery scene is so peaceful looking! An encouragement to it’s recipient.

  3. Awesome card!! I too went through Covid but my husband did not leave food Our bible study group had food at my door everyday in the late afternoon and when he came home he brought it in and gave me my portion since I did not want to eat.
