Popsicle Birthday — FMS475

It’s time for another new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our hostess is the ever lovely and talented Jacquie Southas. Take a look at this great sketch:

I needed to make a birthday card for a sweet friend and when I saw this sketch I immediately thought of the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set, figuring that ice cream treats could make up the three rectangular focal points. And since this friend loves color like I do, I knew this would be a good set for her birthday card.

I started by brushing some Pool Party ink on a piece of watercolor paper. Once that dried, I used one of the Stitched with Whimsy Dies to add the fun stitching around the edges.

The popsicles were stamped using my stamp positioning tool so I could make them exactly the same size, as these popsicles are made using three stamps — the top part, the bottom part, and the stick. I then cut them and the sentiment out with my paper snips.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch. We love seeing what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
