We’re back with another new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our hostess is our lovely New Yorker friend, Linda Callahan. Take a look at this fun sketch:

Normally I might think this is a challenging sketch. What to do with those little circles? But I recently acquired a new stamp set, Stellar Birthday, that I knew my older two kids would love as they are big space nerds. And this set has little planets that I thought would be perfect for the little circles. This card is for my daughter, who would love to go on a mission to Mars. In fact, that is what she wrote her college application essay about. Not me — I think I’ll keep my feet firmly on Earth.
I started this out by stamping the images, coloring them with alcohol markers, and then cutting them out with my paper snips. I arranged them on a piece of Ombre Specialty Paper which is sparkly and oh-so-pretty and was cut using a die from the Scalloped Contours Dies collection.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
