It’s time for another new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week it comes to us all the way from New Zealand. Our favorite Kiwi friend and stamper extraordinaire, Karen Johnson, is our hostess this week and she has a good one. Take a look:
I hadn’t used the Snowman Magic set yet, and I thought it would make a cute scene using this sketch. And when I saw the focal rectangle in the set, I knew that one of the fabulous Snowman Dies would work perfectly.
I started this card by cutting out the snowflake frame with the die from the Snowman Dies from some shimmery paper. I then cut a piece of white card stock to fit behind it and blended some Balmy Blue ink behind a hand-cut “snow drift”.
I stamped the snowman and bunny and colored them with alcohol markers. The fun part of this set is dressing up the snowman. There are coordinating dies for all of the little pieces.
I stamped the sentiment on a piece of vellum paper, embossing it with some red embossing powder.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
