Lemon Squeeze — FMS576

It’s time for another new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week it is my turn to be the hostess, which means I get to provide the sketch. I envisioned a loose collage along the diagonal when I drew it up. I used circles, but the images can really be any shape and in any quantity.

I hadn’t used the Sweet Citrus Bundle, and with the weather finally feeling like Spring here, I thought this was the perfect sketch with which to use it.

I love how this bundle incorporates an embossing folder to add texture to the stamped images! It is such a cool effect!

I placed the images on a piece of Country Gingham dsp. I think the gingham and the lemons look so fresh and pretty together.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! I am looking forward to visiting the gallery to see how everyone uses the sketch. Meanwhile, be sure to visit the Freshly Made Sketches gallery to see what the design team has made for your inspiration.

Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Love how much the embossed texture adds to the citrus pieces and they are gorgeous on the gingham, Amy! Thanks for a great sketch this week.

  3. This is such a great card Amy! I love the citrus! Works perfectly for that amazing sketch! Love that background paper too! Spring weather? It was -22C here this morning! Spring doesn’t come until April or May here!

  4. These lemons were perfect for this sketch Amy, which incidentally I loved so much I ended up using twice! I am crediting the fabulous DT cards though – so inspiring this week! Your sketch made me think of the Sweet Citrus set – perfect for the layout and I love the fresh colours and touch of gingham on your card. It makes me want to make lemonade lol!

  5. The shading on these lemons is so pretty and, as always, I love the color combination. Thanks so much for a fun sketch this week!
