A Frame of Flowers

Framed Flowers

I did some stamping for fun yesterday — no specific project in mind, just a half hour of playing with whatever came to mind.  I pulled the Simple Stems set off my shelf because I love flowers and I hadn’t played with this set in a while.

Framed Flowers Close UpI stamped both flowers three times and then cut out the layers and used dimensionals on them.  I added sequins and pearls to their centers.

Enjoy your Saturday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Golden Thoughts

Mosaic Thoughts with Gold

I needed to make a card for someone who has been on my mind a lot lately.  I hadn’t used the Mosaic Madness set in a while, so I decided to pull it out.  I also used some of the fun gold accents as well.

This was an easy card to make, but it took a while.  By the time I pulled out all of the ink pads and punches I needed and selected the patterned papers, I could have made a couple of other cards.  But sometimes it’s just fun to pull out a bunch of different products and play around and see where creativity takes you.

Enjoy your Thursday!  Thanks for stopping by!

A Starburst Celebration — FMS123

It’s sketch day over at Freshly Made Sketches, and the CAS-talented Jen Brum has a fun sketch for us:

I knew right away that I wanted to use the fun images in the Starburst Sayings stamp set.  I thought the coordinating Starburst dies would be perfect for the little circles in the sketch.

Starburst Celebration

It seems like whenever I start out with the intention of making a masculine card, I always end up adding some little embellishments that make me feel like I’ve gone a little astray.    On this one, I selected some colors that I thought would make a good manly card.  And I thought the stamps were okay for a guy card.  But then I just had to add some pearls to the centers — I mean, they just needed them!  And then the ribbon — not very manly, but the sketch required it.  So I compromised, and just tied a knot instead of my usual bow.

You really should check out what the rest of the design team did with the sketch at the Freshly Made Sketches site.  I’m always so impressed with everything they make, but this week I am really in awe — such a great variety, and creativity that is just amazing.  I hope you’ll play along with us as we love to see your work too.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Retro Fresh Designer Journaling Tags — Day 3

I have three more cards to share with you today, using the Retro Fresh Designer Journaling Tags and coordinating Retro Fresh dsp.  These are all just simple cards that I was able to whip up very quickly.  I love how these tags make it so easy.

MillionI added strips of the coordinating Retro Fresh Designer Washi Tape along the bottom of the card — inside and on the front.  It adds such a nice (and super quick) finishing touch.

Super DuperI think this tag is so fun!  I love how the sentiment letters are in different colors, and I love the geometric, retro look.

Peachy KeenI went a little crazy with the washi tape on this one.  It’s just so fun!  It’s hard to stop.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing how these tags can make cute, easy cards.  I love the sentiments on them, and I love how they coordinate with so many other products in the Retro Fresh Suite.

Enjoy your Tuesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Retro Fresh Designer Journaling Tags — Part 2

A few days ago I shared a card I made using the Retro Fresh Designer Journaling Tags       (you can see it here).  It was so easy and quick to make, so I decided to make a few more using the tags and the coordinating washi tape and dsp.

FabUlousIsn’t this tag so cute?  I love what it says, and I’ll have a hard time deciding to which daughter I should give it.  I think I just need to buy another packet of these journaling tags!

High 5I used the Arrows Embossing Folder on this one.  It coordinates with this suite so well, and adds such a “wow” factor to a simple project.

Come back tomorrow, and I’ll have the last three cards I made with this suite of products.  Enjoy your Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hello, Sweet Sorbet

Shoebox Swap

My upline and sweet friend had a group meeting yesterday, and one of the fun things we did together was a shoe box swap.  Everyone designed a different card, put all of the “ingredients” for the card in a shoe box, and then we rotated around the tables and made all of the cards.  It’s a great way to get ideas from each other, and it’s just fun to stamp together.  This was the card I planned for the group.

There isn’t a lot of stamping on it — just a lot of dies and punches.  But those are all fun things too.

Enjoy your Sunday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Whole Lot of Wonderful — Clean and Simple Style

Whole Lot of Wonderful

When life gets busy, it seems like I tend to lean toward the Clean and Simple (CAS) style even more.  I love to color, and have since I was a little girl.  This Vivid Vases stamp is perfect for me — a chance to color, yet it’s still CAS.

I added some strips of Sticky Strip to the bottom — two rows of two strips each, and then poured Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter on top.  Easy peasy!

Enjoy your Saturday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Watercolor Blossom

Watercolor Petals

These Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards & Envelopes make quick work of card making.  I stamped the flower and leaves using the Peaceful Petals stamp set, and then watercolored them using an aquapainter.  I added a strip of Watercolor Wonder dsp and some Gold Baker’s Twine, and then a little punched Boho Blossom and an In-Color Dahlia. And I was done.  Pretty easy!

Enjoy your Thursday!  Thanks for stopping by!

Good Thoughts Film Strip — FMS 122

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Wednesdays bring a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and our hostess, Cindy Hall, has a versatile sketch for us this week:

I decided to use the filmstrip die from the On Film Framelits dies for the focal image in the sketch.  I combined it with a stamped image from the Perfect Pennants stamp set.

Good Thoughts Film StripI used some Pool Party Core’dinations card stock and the Sale-a-Bration embossing folder for the background.  And I used some of the beautiful and fun Sale-a-Bration dsp as well.

You should go check out what the design team did with the sketch at the Freshly Made Sketches site.  And then be sure to play along, as we love to see your creations in the gallery.

Washi Starburst

Starburst WashiI’ve had this card sitting on my desk for over a couple of weeks, and I just couldn’t get happy with it.  It was missing something.  And then I remembered these cute little stars in the Sale-a-Bration set, Banner Blast.  They seemed to add just a little something that was missing.  So I only took a couple of weeks for this one, but it’s finished!

I made the “starburst” lines with washi tape.  I love that stuff!
