The most talented Anne Marie has a pretty color challenge for us at the Paper Players today.
I must say that I was saddened to hear that Baja Breeze will be retiring in just a few more weeks. I love that color!
I pulled out a couple of products I hadn’t used in a while for this card — the Mixed Bunch stamp set and the Alhambra wheel. Notice I didn’t use the This and That Epic Day dsp? See, I do have some self-control. 🙂
Please join us in the challenge at the Paper Players. Meanwhile, go check out what the other designers made with these fab colors:
Enjoy your Sunday! Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful, Amy! I love the stamping and spritzing on the background, and the burlap layer. How did you keep it from unraveling? Hugs 🙂 Sandy
Gorgeous card! Love the use of the burlap! I too am wondering how you cut the burlap without it unraveling. Hope you will share the tip with us! TFS!
I think the real trick is in finding the right burlap. The first burplap I purchased unraveled everywhere and made the biggest mess. I then found some that isn’t as tightly woven and just looked “cleaner”. I am having good luck with it. So my tip would be to check out your options at the fabric store, as all burlap does not appear to be equal. Perhaps, get some samples of different kinds and try them out with your Big Shot to see which one you like best.
Very cool-the burlap is a great fun effect! I am sad to see Baja Breeze retire too.
Gorgeous, Amy! I love how you’ve substituted the burlap for the crumb cake color–what great texture and it’s all pulled together with the naturals button. Love it! The Alhambra wheel is FAB!
I added the sixix adhesive paper to back up the burlap. Left the paper on one side.
Ran the die through about four times. This cut perfectly and solves the raveling problem.
Love your card. Thanks for sharing.
Your details and precision are amazing, Amy. I always look forward to seeing your work;)
Great use of the Alhambra wheel! Mine is very neglected. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration.
Awesome, Amy! I love the burlap and the paper piercing!
Simply stunning! I really really love your work! The burlap is a great addition! 🙂
So pretty, Amy! I love the texture from the burlap and the paper piercing detail. I don’t know why I have never noticed that wheel before but now I want it! It is the perfect touch on this card. Thanks for rocking my colors this week! 🙂
