My 6th grade daughter and I attended a memorial service for a beautiful little 6 year-old girl this past weekend, who lost her courageous battle with brain cancer. My daughter is good friends with her 6th grade sister. My heart goes out to their family, who have been amazing witnesses for the Lord through this whole experience. I have been absolutely amazed at their strength and unwavering faith.
Ileana loved purple, and the memorial service was packed with those wearing purple in remembrance of her. I wanted to make a purple sympathy card for her family.
Enjoy your Monday, and give your children a big hug today! Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful card!! I know the family really appreciated your thoughtfulness and support.
WOW, that’s a tough burden to bear…..I don’t know how people who don’t know the Lord survive a loss like this. Your card is beautiful and will certainly bring comfort to the family!!!
A stunning creation! So sad when someone so young passes away. I will put her in my prayers.
Amy, I adore, afore your cards. Did you add something to the butterflies on this.. Looks white at places, glimmer? Very artistic!
Thank you! Mary Thorpe

I did! And I forgot to list that on the supplies. I put some Dazzling Details around the edges and on some of the spots. It looks like that didn’t photograph too well. Good eyes!
ooh I’m so sorry , that’s so sad Amy , prayer for all of you !
hugs Frenchie
Thank you for sharing this lovely card. My prayers for you and the family concerned. Here in NZ we are involved in an organisation called Camp Quality. We have 5 regions in our wee country and each one runs a residential camp each year for children living with cancer. The organisation was founded by Vera Entwistle , who is an American living in Australia. She had a young child who also lived with cancer and saw a need for a support group. Google Camp Quality and you may find it of interest.
