You’re How Old? — FMS125

Whew!  I’m finally back! Our home office/craft room project ended up being a little more time-consuming than I thought.  I had to move everything out of the room so we could put up shelving in there, and I realized I have a LOT of stuff.  When I could no longer stack stuff in the dining room, I had to start stacking stuff in the family room.  When my son came in later that day, he told me that it looked like we could be in an episode of Hoarders.

But we got the shelves up and now have a much more functional space for everyone, and I’m still in the process of getting everything put away in just the right spot.  That could take a while!  I’m trying to purge as I do that and rid myself of the hoarder label that I identified with a little too much.

Meanwhile, I did take a little break and made a card for today’s new challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.  Narelle Farrugia is our hostess this week, and she has a versatile sketch for us:

I decided to use a speech bubble for the circle in the sketch.  And I pulled out some of the Birthday Basics dsp.

You're How Old

I hope you’ll be able to join us and try this sketch yourself.  You can go see what the rest of the design team made at the Freshly Made Sketches site.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. LOL! I remember when we redid my craft room….same hoarder episode!!! It’s all back (almost) and still gets messed up too easily!! I wish I had enough room to put a little daybed in here, I’d take a nap occasionally, LOL! This card is just perfect….simple sketch, great papers, fun sentiment! Love it! Have fun organizing…it is always a work in progress at my house!

  2. Great card Amy! I love that DSP! So perfect for a birthday card!!! My kids are always telling me it looks like a bomb went off in my craft room and when we moved the movers were not too impressed with the stuff they had to pack up!!!

  3. Fabulous card, Amy! Love the ribbon and button treatment – very clever! I can sympathize over your packing trials! I’m about to start packing up our whole house so our earthquake repairs can be done and I’m so not looking forward to it!

  4. Love the paper with the word bubble! Super fun card. Good luck with craft room. I’d hate to really see what all is in mine. Yikes!
