Happy Wednesday! We’re on Summer vacation here, so every Wednesday is happy. Another reason for a happy Wednesday is that we have a new sketch for you at Freshly Made Sketches. This week, the oh-so talented Jennifer Timko is our hostess. And she has a super versatile sketch for us:
I hadn’t cleaned up my desk after making my last card, and I had so much fun using the Watercolor Wings stamp set that I decided to use it again for this card. I just changed up the color scheme for this one.
I started by putting a few drops of re-inker on an acrylic window sheet. I then took a wet aquapainter and moved the ink around a little and then spritzed water on it. Then I took my card stock and smooshed it on the acrylic sheet. It made a nice messy watercolor look. After that dried, I stamped some of the So Saffron dots and spritzed some So Saffron ink on the card base.
I used a color combo of So Saffron, Pool Party, and Smoky Slate. The “thanks” die was used on a Gold Foil Sheet. The top layer of the butterfly was made with vellum paper.
We hope you’ll join us and make your own card using the sketch. We love to see what you make. You can go visit the Freshly Made Sketches site to see how the design team used the sketch for some inspiration. You’ll see a great variety!
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
