It’s time for a new sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches site, and this week our favorite Aussie, Narelle Farrugia, is our hostess. I love what she gave us to work with:
My daughter had her 16th birthday yesterday, and she needs some thank you cards so I thought I’d make a special one for her to give to a friend who threw her a surprise party last weekend. It’s a special friend that would do that, so a special card would be in order. She is a cat lover, so I pulled out the Pretty Kitty stamp set.
I stamped the image on watercolor paper and colored it with an aquapainter and blender pen. Some black splatters were added with a stamp from the Timeless Textures stamp set. A little strip of dsp from the Tasty Treats dsp collection and a little Dapper Denim ribbon were added as well. Some black metallic thread was looped behind the doily and focal image. The sentiment comes from the Tasty Trucks stamp set, which was on my desk.
