We have a new sketch for you over at the Freshly Made Sketches site, and this week the ever-talented Jen Mitchell is our hostess. She has a sketch with fun layers, that I think is quite versatile. Check it out:
I recently acquired the Super Duper stamp set and wanted to get it inky. Since any shape can be substituted for the star in the sketch, I chose to use one of the images in the stamp set for the focal image.
I started with a layer of dsp from the Party Animal pack. For the next layer, I stamped two of the star images with Tangerine Tango and Rich Razzleberry inks and splattered some Emerald Envy ink on top. I stamped the focal image with the same inks plus Crushed Curry ink on a piece of scrap Whisper White, coloring the stamp with my Stampin’ Write markers, and fussy-cut it out. Some Crushed Curry enamel dots and Gold Metallic Thread were added to finish it off.
This came together pretty quickly. That’s how a great sketch helps out!
We hope you’ll join us and make your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make. Meanwhile, be sure to hop on over to the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has made for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
