Greetings, from warm, sunny Texas! That’s for all of you snow-bound Northeastern friends. 🙂 We have a new sketch for you today over at Freshly Made Sketches, which would be perfect for a day when you’re stuck at home — or any day, for that matter. Look at this great sketch that my friend, Rita Wright, has for us this week:
I recently acquired a new stamp set, Cake Crazy, and I thought this was the perfect sketch with which to get it inky. I love bright colors for a birthday card, and this one is definitely bright. Maybe it will melt some of your snow for you.
I had so much fun playing with this set! I love how you can add whatever layers you like to the cake, and I love how easy it is to stamp the layers in different colors. That bottom layer of cake is made up of three different stamps that layer together perfectly so you can use three different colors (I used Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Tangerine Tango).
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card with this set. We love to look through the gallery and see what you make. Meanwhile, be sure to venture over to the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
