It’s time for another new sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches site, and this week our hostess is our favorite Rocky Mountains resident, Kim Singdahlsen. She has a fun and creative sketch for us this week. Take a look:
Unfortunately, I needed to make a sympathy card when I sat down to work on a card for this sketch. So that was where I started. I found a sentiment that I thought would work from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and then used one of the prettiest sheets of dsp that is in the new catalog coming out tomorrow. It’s from the Delightful Daisy dsp pack, and I thought it deserves to be the star of this card. Hopefully, it will bring a little bit of beauty into my friend’s day.
I paired it with a doily and some of the beautiful Calypso Coral 1/4″ Ombre Ribbon. This was all placed on a Whisper White Note Card. Super quick and easy. Writing the note for the inside is what was hard. Sympathy cards are so hard to write! I never feel like my words are adequate.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch. We love seeing what you create! Meanwhile, be sure to jump on over to the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration. They are amazing!
Have a great Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
That is one of the prettiest papers ever and deserves to be the star! Love this!
This is so pretty!! I love the flower paper and the ombre ribbon is the perfect touch!!
Beautiful sympathy card and that paper is indeed really pretty.
Oh Amy! This is such a beautiful card! That paper is just gorgeous! I’m sure it will bring much comfort to someone!
It’s never easy to make a sympathy card, but you’ve got a beautiful card here. That DSP is so lovely and the images are colorful and yet soft at the same time. Good choice!
Truly lovely! The paper is so pretty – and with that softly colored ribbon it’s an absolutely perfect sympathy card. Thanks for making my sketch look so good!!
The card says what words sometimes can’t. That you care and are thinking of her. This is really lovely, Amy!
Truly beautiful Amy! I love the calming colours you’ve used – so soft and pretty!
