Falling Leaves and Birthdays — Monday Montage #101

Welcome to another Monday Montage blog hop!  We are a group of ten stampers who love to share what we create with you, and all you have to do to follow along is click on the links at the bottom of each post.

Now that it is officially Fall (in the calendar sense only here), I thought it was appropriate to start making Fall themed birthday cards.  It seems like we know a lot of people with October birthdays.  I love the beautifully detailed leaves in the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies, so I cut some out in Fall colors (Lemon Lime Twist, Cajun Craze, and Tangerine Tango).  There is no stamping on this card — just die-cutting.

I cut the sentiment with the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die from Whisper White card stock and sponged on some Lemon Lime Twist and Old Olive inks.  On the background, I sponged some Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry inks and added some Cajun Craze splatters.

The dsp strips are scraps from the Painted Autumn collection.  A few copper metallic sequins were added for embellishment, and I was done.

You’re ready to hop on over to Breelin Renwick’s blog.  I always love seeing what she makes!  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can jump back to Wendy Weixler’s blog.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing.

Enjoy your Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!
