It’s time for another new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our Canadian friend, Jen Brum, is our hostess. She has a fabulous sketch for us that I absolutely love. Take a look:
I wanted to make another Valentine, but I wanted to use some non-traditional Valentine colors. Starting with a watercolor wash, I applied some Daffodil Delight ink with a watercolor brush onto some wet watercolor paper. I stamped a few leaves from the Heart Happiness set onto the watercolor paper, and then stamped the hearts and flower from the same stamp set and cut them out.
Some little embellishments were added here and there — a piece of a doily, iridescent sequins. tiny pearls, and a little bow from linen thread. The sentiment is from an old Paper Pumpkin stamp set.
This card came together pretty quickly. A great sketch will often do that.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch. We love to see what you do with the sketch as we browse the gallery. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
