I needed to make a birthday card for a friend this week and when I saw the sketch over at the Global Design Project, I knew it would be perfect for what I had in mind.
I love the Picture Perfect Party Suite in the Occasions catalog. The images are festive and the fonts for the sentiments are so fun. I started by stamping off the candles first onto a piece of scrap paper before stamping on my card panel to get a lighter image. The sentiment was then stamped over the candles.
Some dsp pieces were added from the Bubbles & Fizz Sale-a-Bration offering. I love this stuff, and it’s free! Some of the self-adhesive sequins were added and a bit of baker’s twine was tied into a bow. I love decorating envelopes, so I had to stamp on it as well.
This color combo makes my heart happy! Hopefully, it will make my friend happy as well.
Enjoy your Friday! Thanks for stopping by!

Yes, yes, yes! I loved the card! And how fun that’s it’s one featured on your blog!
Beautiful as always Amy! Can you share you paper piece sizes? Thank you so much!
Sorry, Kristen, but I mailed it right after making it and I usually don’t measure. I just cut it until it looks right.
