We have a new sketch for you at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week the lovely and talented Jen Mitchell is our hostess. Take a look at this fun sketch:
This one opens itself to many possibilities. I love square cards, yet rarely make them, so I was excited to see this week’s sketch. Now that it’s September and Fall is officially on the way, I am itching to make some Fall themed cards and use Fall colors. One of the new sets I ordered from the Holiday catalog is the Falling for Leaves set. I love the stamped leaves, and the coordinating die-cute leaves are beautiful. I decided to pair them both for this card.
I started by stamping some of the filler images on a square piece of Sahara Sand cardstock. I then stamped and die-cut the leaves from various Fall colors — Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Pear Pizzazz, and Merry Merlot.
The beautifully detailed border strip was cut from Mossy Meadow cardstock using one of the dies from the Detailed Leaves Thinlits.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch. We love to see what you make. Meanwhile be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
