A String of Lights — FMS355

It’s time for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our hostess is our favorite Coloradan card maker, Kim Singdahlsen.  Take a look at the sketch she has created for us:

When I first saw this sketch, I focused on the vertical strip.  I recently acquired the Making Christmas Bright bundle and was itching to ink it up.  I thought I could run a string of lights down the card in place of the vertical strip.

This bundle includes a punch which punches out the two parts of the light bulbs.  I love dies, but punches are my favorite.  They are quicker and easier.  I stamped the lights and punched them out.  The metal part of the bulbs were punched from silver foil card stock.

The stamp set also includes a little star stamp, which I used with Gray Granite Ink.  The dsp is from the Twinkle, Twinkle dsp collection.  A string of Silver & White Baker’s Twine was used as the cord.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch.  Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

Enjoy your Wednesday!  Thanks for stopping by!
