It’s time for another new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our favorite paper crafter extraordinaire from New Zealand, Karren Johnson, has a fun sketch for us. Take a look:
I thought I would add another Christmas card to the stack as the large circle image made me think of a wreath. When I was looking at the stamp sets on my shelf, I was drawn to the Making Christmas Bright bundle. There is a circular image in the set that is adorned with tiny stars, and while I’m not sure if it’s really a wreath, I thought it would work well with the sketch.
The card base is a 3-1/2″ x 5″ Crumb Cake note card. I stamped the string of light on it randomly with Versamark ink.
I embossed the star wreath with gold embossing powder and stamped the sentiment with Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce ink. The bulbs were stamped with Shaded Spruce, Crushed Curry and Cherry Cobbler inks.
This was a quick and easy one to pull together.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
