I’m a Sucker for Flowers — Monday Montage #142

Welcome to another Monday Montage blog hop!  We are a group of stampers who love to share what we create with you, and all you have to do to follow along is click on the links at the bottom of each post.

My upline held a stampin’ bingo event yesterday and I was able to go to this one.  They are always such fun events.  I was the lucky winner of one game and received the Floral Essence bundle.  I love sets that coordinate with a punch, so I knew this one would be fun to play with.

I started by stamping the flowers with Versamark ink and adding white embossing powder.  I punched them out and added these fun fuzzy centers that remind me of fuzzy caterpillars.  The flowers were placed on a piece of card stock on which I sponged some Seaside Spray ink.

The sentiment is from the Band Together stamp set.

I’ve been struggling a bit with creativity lately, so I turned to one of my favorite challenge sites, The Paper Players.  They have a tic-tac-toe challenge this week, and it helped me to focus on what to include in my card.  I went with the “punched shapes, yellow, and pearls” line.

You’re ready to hop on over to Breelin Renwick’s blog.  I always love seeing what she makes!  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can jump back to Wendy Weixler’s blog.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing.

  1. Beautiful, Amy! Great color choices for the flowers! I love the texture imparted by the fuzzy centers. The gingham border adds so much interest…what a great design idea! Thank you for sharing with The Paper Players!

  2. There’s so much to love about your card Amy! Those pretty flowers with their white heat embossed detail and fuzzy centres, that fabulous soft sponged background with splatter detail and the gingham border is the perfect finishing touch. Looks like your bingo win and my board were just what you needed to kick-start your creativity this week! Thanks for joining in with our tic-tac-toe challenge at The Paper Players this week!
