Seriously Hello Friend — Monday Montage #163

Welcome to another Monday Montage blog hop!  We are a group of stampers who love to share what we create with you, and all you have to do to follow along is click on the links at the bottom of each post.

It’s that time of year where we have to say goodbye to some stamp sets that we love and will miss to make room for some new friends.  One of the sets that will be retiring in just one short month is the Seriously the Best stamp set.  I feel like I barely got to play with this one.  Since it has a sentiment that I think is perfect for these days, I decided to ink it up.  And I used one of the in-colors, Lovely Lipstick, that will also be retiring.

I started by stamping the sentiment with Lovely Lipstick ink and cutting it out with a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  I then cut out the smaller sentiment, stamped with Pear Pizzazz ink, with my paper snips and glued it on the focal panel.  Before adhering the focal panel with dimensionals, I stamped some leaves and little flowers using the same ink colors and added some splatters.

I liked the fresh, clean look so I decided not to add any embellishments other than the white baker’s twine bow, which required a lot of restraint.

You’re ready to hop on over to Breelin Renwick’s blog.  I always love seeing what she makes!  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can jump back to Wendy Weixler’s blog.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing.
