It’s time for another new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week our hostess is Jen Brum, our lovely and talented Canadian friend. Take a look at this fun sketch:
Now I know it’s too early to start thinking about Halloween, but I recently got a few things from the new August-December mini catalog, and one of my favorite stamps is the adorable Flight of Fancy set, which covers three holidays — Christmas, Halloween, and Valentine’s Day. I thought the little witch would work well with the slanted feature on the card, so I went with that.
I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the image with Memento black ink. I then colored the piece with markers and mounted it on a piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock, which was mounted on a Gray Granite card base sponged with a little ink of the same color.
The sentiment is from the new Hallows Night Magic stamp set and was embossed with some old shimmery black embossing powder.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to browse the gallery and admire your creativity. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!

I really like last week’s dino card but I’m a week late, lol! Your sponging and coloring brings out just the right personality in that witch. I love the interest added by the stamping above and below the panel. Super cute and well done, Amy!
