Many flowers for Mother’s Day — FMS481

Goodness! It’s been a while since I’ve posted. We had the interior of our house painted, and man, is that a lot of work — even though we hired someone to do the actual painting it’s still a lot of work. Most of the work was my craft room, which also serves as our office/study room. We installed some Elfa shelving on three of the four walls in that room and use lots of vertical space. All of that had to come down for the painters and then when they were done we had to put it all back up again. Whew!! There’s nothing like having to pack up all of your crafting stuff to make you realize just how much you really have! Here’s a look at the finished product (I still haven’t put the curtains up yet). I went with a Sherwin Williams color called Natural Choice, which is nice and clean and bright. It looks darker in these pictures than it really is.

Well now that I’m unpacked and my room is back in order, I was excited to get to play along with the new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. Our hostess this week is Cecile Ribon, our favorite French stamper. Take a look at her fun sketch:

I thought I should get a jump on Mother’s Day cards before things get really busy again. I pulled out the Pierced Blooms Dies and ran some through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

I framed the focal panel with a piece of dsp from the True Love collection and placed it all on a So Saffron card base. Some Matte Black Dots were added to the flower centers to add a touch of black to coordinate with the dsp and sentiment.

We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.

Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
