We’re back with another new sketch for you at Freshly Made Sketches, and this week it comes from Colorado, courtesy of the very talented Kim Singdahlsen. Take a look at her fun sketch:
It’s about to be birthday week in our house with two of our children celebrating their birthdays next week. The first one up is my college daughter who has a Valentine’s birthday. She loves bright colors, especially yellow, so I wanted to make her a card that has happy colors. And since she was born on Valentine’s Day I also wanted to include some hearts on her card. And since I hadn’t used the Rainbow of Happiness suite and I thought it would work perfectly, it was an easy decision on what to use for her card.
I started with a sheet of the Sunshine and Rainbows dsp that has some tiny hearts. I love this paper collection, which is a free Sale-a-Bration offering. I then cut out the rainbow four times with the Brilliant Rainbows dies using different colors of cardstock. I stamped the little hearts from the coordinating Rainbow of Happiness stamp set onto a strip of Melon Mambo card stock. The sentiment is from the Special Moments stamp set, which is another Sale-a-Bration offering.
We hope you’ll join us and create your own card using the sketch! We love to see what you make as we browse the gallery each week. Meanwhile, be sure to stop by the Freshly Made Sketches site to see what the design team has created for your inspiration.
Enjoy your Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!
