Falling Flowers Birthday — Monday Montage #76

Monday Montage Banner -- October

Welcome to another Monday Montage blog hop!  We are a group of ten stampers who love to share what we create with you, and all you have to do to follow along is click on the links at the bottom of each post.

I needed to make a birthday card for my sweet mother-in-law, who has been having a hard time since her knee replacement surgery last month.  I wanted to make something cheery and pretty, and I haven’t been able to play with the Falling Flowers bundle very much, so I thought it would be perfect for the occasion.

Falling Flowers Birthday

I started by stamping the beautiful flourish from the stamp set with Versamark ink onto a Pool Party card base.  I stamped the sentiment, which is a single stamp called Stylized Birthday, onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock, which I cut out with a die from the Lots of Labels Framelits Dies.

I stamped the flowers with Calypso Coral, Peekaboo Peach, and Daffodil Delight ink and colored them with a blender pen.  White Perfect Accents were added to the flower centers after they were cut out with the coordinating dies.

Falling Flowers Birthday Close UpThe fabulously detailed leaves were cut using the coordinating dies from Old Olive cardstock.

I added a piece of a Delicate White Doily and a bow made from Black Baker’s twine to finish things off.

You’re ready to hop on over to Breelin Renwick’s blog.  I always love seeing what she makes!  If you prefer to work your way backwards, you can jump back to Wendy Weixler’s blog.  Either way, be sure to work your way through all of the blogs so you don’t miss a thing!
